How to Find a Manufacturer in China

Assuming you want to buy products made in China to resell in your own country, the best ways to find a suitable manufacturer include using a search engine on the Internet or finding a trade agent who can help you locate the type of factory in China which makes products similar to what you want to buy.

Using an Internet search engine will lead to entrepreneurs in China which have an Internet presence. Of course, there are many factories which have not yet begun advertising on the worldwide web. Thus, it will be more difficult to find them.

If you search on a major Internet search engine, you should list the type of product you are seeking and list 'made in China'. This will bring up many manufacturers who have web sites that you can consider.

If your search does not produce results which seem close enough to what you are seeking, you can do a second search for 'trade agents in China'. This will give you many choices of agents who may be able to assist in your search for producers of the product you wish to purchase in bulk.

There are also directories of businesses in China which are outsourcing manufacturers. Some of these are simply lists of companies in China. They may be reputable although some probably are not.

After you find some possible suppliers, you may contact them by email to express your unique requirements in products. Some of those web sites also list telephone numbers. However, it is likely that the phone will be answered in Mandarin Chinese rather than in English although some of the offices have English-speaking representatives who can help you.
